This is the NON-PULL START version of the popular Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw engine. Model number is Ofna 51213. This engine does not come with a pull start assembly and does not have a one way bearing. This engine will need to be started with something like an electric Starter Box. NOTE: People trying to adapt a Roto Start system to the Picco 26 engines need to buy the Pull Start version (51214) to get the proper backplate with one way bearing.

The powerful 2.7HP OFNA PICCO 26 OUTLAW is an incredible .26 BIG BLOCK nitro engine! This high quality Picco engine offers the best of both worlds... with its BIG .26 cu. in. (4.3 cc) displacement that helps generate BIG POWER and TORQUE at lower-midrange engine RPMs while the Picco design also gives extremely powerful HP levels at higher RPMs.

The Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw engine is based on the Picco P3 MONSTER .26 engine design. This engine has a composite carburetor body to reduce heat transfer to the carb and help increase power output. The composite carb design should also help enable better tuning of the air/fuel mixture. The Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw also has a 14mm crankshaft, hard chromed cylinder sleeve (ABC construction), and double bushing connecting rod. The Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw nitro engine comes with a high flowing 5 port + 2 by-pass port design.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO SOME PEOPLE:
- The Picco carb has a large 16mm OD. Keep this in mind for air filter selection. If you run with a Motorsaver filter, then you can change out filter bases (rubber elbow) if necessary for your application. If you need an adapter for a Motorsaver filter, we recommend the Motor Saver MSBS1516 Air Filter Adapter Kit which has an elbow that fits the Picco 26 carb better. Search on MSBS1516 at the top of any page of our store to see this adapter kit.
- Engine mount hole pattern is a standard pattern that is an exact drop in fit for most .21 applications.
- Needs a glow plug. Ofna recommends a long glow plug without idle bar like Ofna/Picco #51007. We try to keep this recommended Picco glow plug in stock.
- We also recommend buying the inexpensive Ofna Clutch Shim Kit OFN10099 or some other shim kit. The shims can be very helpful for setting up proper clearances when changing clutch bells.

OTHER RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS FOR THIS ENGINE (see bottom of page for the following recommended products & others):

1) Ofna Micro Infrared Temp Gauge OFN10155. We strongly recommend that this engine be tuned along with a temperature gauge to ensure maximum performance and long engine life. An overheated engine can be damaged in minutes!
2) Ofna Picco Medium Temperature Glow Plug OFN51007. This Picco glow plug is one that is recommended for the Picco 26.
3) Ofna Micro Fail Safe OFN91002. This fail safe is cheap insurance and a very good investment to protect a Picco 26 powered land missile!

ANOTHER RECOMMENDATION: Some people have found that this engine likes to run hot. We have read that running with BLUE THUNDER SPORT (20% nitro) fuel can help to keep engine temps down. Apparently, people have tried this fuel and have seen lower running temps. We do not stock this fuel, but it should be readily available at a local hobby shop. In addition, we have found that running this engine with the Low Speed Needle (LSN) adjusted 1-2 more turns out past flush seems to help lower temps. You will also probably need to re-adjust the High Speed Needle to compensate for richening of the LSN adjustment. We really recommend using a Temp Gauge when tuning this engine.
