The Ofna Picco Max26 engine is a big block engine squeezed in a small block style crankcase. The MAX 26 picture shown is of the Ofna 51224 pull start version. There is also the popular Ofna 51223 MAX 26 EZ-Start version for those that want the convenience of electric starting. Some have described this type engine as a mid-block nitro engine since its not quite as small as a small block and not as large as a big block nitro engine. In the past, Ofna released the Picco Max21 engine as a drop in replacement for the Traxxas T-Maxx truck and later it was used on the Traxxas Revo with a different engine mount. Now, the Ofna Picco 26 T-Maxx engine offers more power and torque with the same easy drop in capability. This engine was designed as a drop in replacement for the T-Maxx truck when used along with the optional Ofna 51530 engine mount. The Ofna Picco Max26 can also be used in the Traxxas Revo truck when used along with the Ofna 51531 manifold. Ofna rates this engine at a whopping 2.5HP and 32,000RPM. Big block power in a small package!
