APPLICATION: WORKS WITH SAVAGE 21 RTR, 25 RTR, & 25 SS.

This is the Robinson Racing Steel 48T Spur Gear and 16T Clutch Bell Gear RRP7048. As a side note, the gear set shown in the picture above has a different number of teeth (52/14), but it is still a good representation of the 48/16 gears because it has the same basic Robinson design. This steel gear set was developed for the Savage 25, but it can be used on any Savage truck where fine tuning of the gear ratios is desired along with super strong steel gear construction. This is an extremely strong and durable gear set. This is an excellent upgrade for Savage owners with high powered engines who have had problems with stripping the plastic spur gear. These are very high quality hardened steel parts. They are only available as a matched set because the extra hardness of these gears means that both parts should be run together to ensure maximum life.

PLEASE NOTE: The Robinson 48T steel spur gear can be run with other clutch bells; however, because of the extra hard steel spur, other softer clutch bells will wear out quicker.

RECOMMENDATION: We recommend that you consider having a clutch shim kit on hand when changing clutch bells. Sometimes it is necessary to shim the clutch bell in order to get the proper clearance between the bell skirt and flywheel.
